Performance
The new Ram 1500 is built for higher performance, and its powertrain is strong enough to trailer a maximum of 12,750 pounds. A mild hybrid system is paired with a 5.7-liter V8 to produce as much as 395 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque. If you don't need as much power, then there's a 3.6-liter engine capable of towing a maximum of 7,730 pounds. This Pentastar V6 cranks out 305 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque. It's also possible to manage at least 2,300 pounds of payload. The crew cab model has an air suspension system that lowers the truck to reduce drag for better efficiency. There's also an Active Air Dam that helps to reduce drag.
If you're into tackling off-road terrain, then the brand offers two formidable trims to get the job done. The Rebel trim has Selec-Speed Control, lifted suspension, 33-inch tires, and performance-tuned shock absorbers. The TRX trim is equipped with a 6.2-liter supercharged engine that makes 702 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque. The TRX also has a Bilstein Black Hawk shock system, 35-inch Goodyear tires, and high-performance dual exhaust.
